引水发电建筑物分别布置于两岸，左岸采用中部式地下厂房，安装5台单机630MW机组，右岸采用首部式地下厂房，安装5台单机630MW机组和2台单机350MW机组。引水线路采用一机一洞；尾水隧洞采用二机一洞和三机一洞；主厂房、主变洞、调压室三大洞室采用平行布置的布置型式。引水发电建筑物由进水口、引水隧洞、主厂房、安装场、主变洞、电缆竖井、尾水隧洞、尾水调压室、尾水平台、尾水渠、交通洞、换流站等组成。The headrace and power generation structures are arranged on both banks respectively. Five 630 MW units are installed on the left bank which has a central-type underground powerhouse, and five 630 MW units and two 350 MW units are installed on the right bank which has a head-type underground powerhouse. The headrace tunnel adopts the structure of “one tunnel for one unit”; and the tailwater tunnel adopts the structure of “one tunnel for two units” and “one tunnel for three units”. The powerhouse, main transformer cavern and surge chamber are arranged in parallel. The headrace and power generation structures are composed of intake, headrace tunnel, main powerhouse, erection bay, main transformer cavern, cable shaft, tailwater tunnel, tailwater surge chamber, tailwater platform, tailrace, access tunnel and converter station, etc.
